Deed Restricted Acreage

“Traditions are group efforts to keep the unexpected from happening”
Barbara Tober

Nestled into the forests around the more densely populated subdivisions, you will find something rare, unique and extraordinary.  Developers have purchased large tracts of land and have developed them in one to two acre tracts (some are larger, but usually because of the roll of terrain).

Again, variety abounds in the way these communities have been developed.  Because of the lack of zoning, each individual developer can offer something that may not be found in another community.   For example, some of these communities have equestrian centers and riding trails.  Others have restricted-access gates,  golf courses, waterfront lots on small ponds, waterfront parks, sports centers, community centers, extensive common landscaping, one even has a lake that is large enough to ski.

The prices range from homes in the $200’s to multiple millions, depending on the amenities, exclusiveness of the deed restrictions and/or distance from employment and shopping.  It is hard to show you photos of these properties because privacy is a priority to these homeowners.  Most often they leave a buffer area of vegetation to preserve their privacy.
